    A typical California Powur engagement involves:

    1. An independent “Powur consultant” (not a W-2 employee) gives the sales pitch and writes the contract.
    2. Powur Corporate handles the system design.
    3. A third-party licensed California solar contractor performs the actual physical installation.
    4. Post-install support is distributed across Powur Corporate, the consultant (if still engaged), and the installer.

    That multi-layer structure means no single entity owns the end-to-end customer experience — and that's where the complaint pattern shows up.

    • BBB: Heavy complaint volume, approximately 150+ complaints over the prior 3 years for a company of Powur's scale is a notable outlier.

    Powur does not manufacture its own panels. Equipment varies by consultant and install partner — usually Tier-1 panels with mainstream inverters. Installation is performed by a third-party licensed California contractor, so the quality is only as good as the specific contractor doing your job. Verify the installer's CSLB license separately from Powur's pitch.

    Financing

    Powur offers cash, loans, and leases through third-party lenders. No proprietary financing product. Pricing tends to run at or above California market because of the multi-layer consultant commission structure.

    Utility records show where Powur sits on price and timing. Powur PBC (CSLB #1060243) is the installer on 741 residential systems approved at PG&E, SCE and SDG&E in 2025. For customer-owned systems without a battery, 1 to 25 kW, approved from January 2025 through May 2026, its reported median price was $5.69 per watt on 270 systems, against $4.14 statewide (California Distributed Generation Statistics, CPUC interconnection data through May 31, 2026, downloaded September 24, 2026).

    For its 2025 approvals, the median time from the utility receiving the interconnection application to approving it was 116 days. The statewide median was 25 days. That measures only the utility step, not the months before an application is filed.

    Honestly, only one scenario: you have a pre-existing trusted personal relationship with a specific Powur consultant who has completed installs in your immediate community, whose past customers you can verify, and who is willing to stake personal reputation on your install.
