A comparison to ask for
If you compare a purchase proposal with Pioneer’s GridGen program, separate system ownership from the utility bill. GridGen describes solar-plus-storage and battery-retrofit options with charges on the utility bill and its own transfer/buyout terms. Compare total obligations, who services the system and what happens when the home is sold.
Verify the company behind the quote
Ask for the legal business name, installer license number, written address coverage and the company responsible for repairs. Match the proposal to the CSLB license record. A brand appearing in search results is not proof that it currently serves your home.

Rocklin’s city page identifies PG&E delivery and Pioneer generation as an option. Check your own meter’s account; a Sacramento-area label does not make SMUD assumptions applicable.
