    Who supplies electricity in Wildomar

SCE delivers and supplies Wildomar's electricity, because the CEC's load-serving map shows no community choice aggregator at the city's center.

    What electricity costs in Wildomar

SCE's average residential rate was 34.4¢ per kWh as of June 1, 2026 (CPUC Public Advocates Office), plus a fixed $24.15 a month ($12.08 on FERA, $6.00 on CARE) under CPUC Decision 24-05-028. Its residential plans include time-of-use plans TOU-D-4-9PM and TOU-D-5-8PM, TOU-D-PRIME for homes with an electric vehicle, a battery or an electric heat pump, and a tiered plan. The California utility rate tracker compares the large utilities.

SCE's Index of Communities puts Wildomar in baseline region 10. Region 10 (moderate): 19.3 kWh a day June to September, 12.1 kWh a day October to May. That baseline is billed at 30¢ per kWh on the tiered plan and use above it at 40¢, as SCE posted them on Sept. 24, 2026.

    Discounts and solar billing

CARE takes 30–35% off and FERA 18% off for eligible households, according to the CPUC, and new solar customers go on its Net Billing Tariff, whose export credit the CPUC says is usually below the retail rate. SCE's assistance page has the application. Installers active here are on the Wildomar solar companies page.

    Reading a Wildomar solar bill

Wildomar is SCE territory from end to end on the California Energy Commission's maps, with no community choice provider. SCE bills generation and delivery, and its Solar Billing Plan values exports by hour and season, locks new customers' values for nine years and adds about $0.04 per kWh for eligible customers who enroll before 2028. SCE says those credits are worth less than the power you buy, which is the case for a battery.

SCE and a Wildomar solar bill

No community choice program operates in Wildomar, so SCE sells the power as well as delivering it. A new system joins SCE's Solar Billing Plan: the house draws on its own panels first, and whatever goes back to the grid earns an Energy Export Credit whose value moves with the hour and the season. Summer weekday evenings, 4 to 9 p.m., are when SCE's prices are often highest, and the annual settlement arrives in the month the system first went into service.

Because SCE values exports below the price of the power it sells you, a battery that carries afternoon output into the evening changes the math. Have each bidder quote the same array twice, with and without storage, and show your SCE bill for each. Homes just outside the city limits fall under Riverside County, whose SB 379 platform is SolarAPP+ rather than Symbium.

If the bill itself is the problem, start with why California electric bills run high and the SCE high-bill breakdown.

What is SCE's baseline allowance in Wildomar?

SCE's Index of Communities puts Wildomar in baseline region 10. The summer allowance is 19.3 kWh a day in region 10; that much is billed at the lower tier on SCE's tiered plan.

The contract totals come only from the numbers you entered. A lease or PPA payment does not replace your whole bill: you still pay the utility for power the system does not cover, plus the $24.15 monthly fixed charge most PG&E, SCE and SDG&E customers pay under CPUC Decision 24-05-028 (about $6 on CARE and $12 on FERA). Ask the provider for its production estimate and add those remaining charges before comparing the quote with your current bill.

The usage figure is a rough estimate from an average rate; the kWh on your own bill is more accurate.
