A company website to investigate in Camarillo
Published service information checked September 10, 2026. This is a starting point for requesting a comparable bid. Address acceptance, current license status and contract terms still need to be checked directly.
| Company source | Published scope | Confirm in the proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Photon Brothers | Its Camarillo page lists solar installation, storage, EV charging, detach/reset work and maintenance. | Confirm your address, exact roof/reinstallation scope and CPA/SCE account treatment. Ask for cash and financing totals on the same equipment. |
This listing is not a ranking, endorsement or statement of a referral agreement. Add other available bids using the same project requirements. Unknown roof work, battery scope and service obligations belong in written questions, not assumptions.
Start with your Camarillo electricity bill
If your SCE bill includes Clean Power Alliance generation, compare both portions. CPA’s solar guidance describes circumstances where generation and delivery enrollment can differ for an existing system. Have the bidder check the account and interconnection history instead of assuming one label applies to everything.
Local permit and project checks
Camarillo’s earlier Click2Gov permit site now points new work to OpenGov and retains instructions for older active permits. Ask the contractor to name the current application record and inspection process. Include panel removal and reinstallation if roof work is part of the project.
What a Camarillo quote needs to explain
| Check | Ask each bidder |
|---|---|
| Existing solar history | Record the original interconnection documents and confirm CPA generation versus SCE delivery enrollment. |
| Roof work or new system | Separate panel removal/reset, roof repair, new equipment and utility reconnection responsibilities. |
| Permit record | Confirm OpenGov for new work or the appropriate older active permit process before relying on a completion date. |
Put the quotes on the same basis
A smaller monthly payment can hide a longer contract, less equipment or a larger remaining electric bill. Ask each bidder to fill the same gaps.
| Compare | Get it in writing |
|---|---|
| System and output | Same DC system size, module/inverter models and roof layout; monthly production with shading and losses shown. |
| Battery and backup | Usable kWh, continuous output, backed-up circuits, reserve setting and expected replacement costs. |
| Price and scope | Separate solar, battery, roof, panel upgrade, permits and interconnection. Compare cash prices before financing. |
| Utility bill | Same usage history and tariff; separate onsite use, grid imports, export credits and remaining fixed/delivery charges. |
| Contract and service | Who installs and who services it; written coverage by address, insurance, license record, exclusions and warranty claim process. |
| Payment and transfer | Cash, loan, lease or PPA; upfront costs, APR or escalator, total payments, home-sale and end-of-term terms. |
A comparison to ask for
For a house with existing solar and a roof replacement ahead, request a removal/reinstallation quote alongside a replacement-system quote. Both should name the roof contractor, wiring work and reconnection steps. Then compare whether the proposed equipment change affects the CPA and SCE billing arrangements already in place.
Verify the company behind the quote
Ask for the legal business name, installer license number, written address coverage and the company responsible for repairs. Match the proposal to the CSLB license record. A brand appearing in search results is not proof that it currently serves your home.
No company list establishes acceptance of your address. Use the checklist to compare the bids you receive; ask for project references you can check directly.

Camarillo solar quote questions
Can CPA and SCE treat an existing Camarillo system differently?
CPA’s solar guidance describes an enrollment window with CPA NEM generation and SCE Solar Billing Plan delivery. Ask both providers to confirm your account before changing the system.
Does a roof replacement quote include moving my solar panels?
Only if the written scope says so. Name the businesses responsible for removal, roof work, reinstallation and reconnection, and request the warranty responsibilities in writing.

A nearby guide can help frame a question. Its utility and permit rules still need to match the property.
