The City's page lists permit processing at 15 business days, and inspections run Monday through Friday, requested through the CSS portal by 4:30 p.m. for the next business day.
Murrieta's residential solar bulletin (Information Bulletin 125, dated May 2022) states that a residential solar PV permit costs $450, paid when the permit is issued, covering plan review and inspection. The bulletin asks for an electrical plot plan with a single-line diagram and the existing main service size, manufacturer cut sheets, and a California-licensed engineer's letter on the racking, and it asks the applicant to list batteries and other added equipment on the cover sheet.
